It’s the moment.
That moment of beautiful anticipation.
Tomorrow is Christmas!
Our Advent Season is coming to completion.
It’s a sacred moment, a quiet moment, a hold your breath kind of moment, because even the whisper of breath disturbers the stillness.
It is time for Christ’s Candle.
the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.” Matthew 4:16
His Candle, the culmination of the Hope and Peace and Joy and Love of all these past weeks.
I am overcome with the light, the beauty, the magnificence, that is Christmas.

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. John 1:4
The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. John 1:9
Christ-Mas.
Christ Comes.
Have you ever been to a Christmas Eve Service? One with candles? I love them, they are so beautiful! In this day and age where church is less and less traditional I love that moment where they hand out the candles and they are slowly lit.
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6
You are in the dark, there is a glow of firelight. Just a tiny flicker like a single star.
And then…
For you were once in darkness, but now you are the light in the Lord. Live as children of light Ephesians 5:8
Slowly, but quickly at the same time, the flicker doubles, triples.
The Precious flame is passed from candle to candle… until the whole room is filled with a Holy Glow.
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
Over the last weeks we’ve studied God’s gifts for us, and I hope they’ve brought to your heart a flicker of light.
So now, don’t let it go out.
For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” Acts 13:47
Pass it on, tend it, let it shine in all the dark places.

Let it fill you heart, your life, your home.
Let it fill the world!
Thank you for taking this journey with me. May You Have a Very Merry Light Filled Christmas! May you find His Hope, His Peace, His Joy, His Love, His Light, and Himself.
Merry Christmas!
