I’m officially deciding on September 1st for the Grand Re-Opening of The Joyful Truth! Save the Date! Put it on your calendar!
The work in changing out images in some ways feels endless, but I’m making progress, 140 images have now been switched out with 90 more that still need to be addressed. I’ve been trying to work at a steady pace, getting a few done a day, but making sure the project doesn’t completely take over so I still have the ability to work on other things.
The theme is up and running, and its been fun to be able to start to tinker with different functions and figure out how things are going to be set up. The images are going to be bigger in the new site, and the whole layout feels cleaner and more professional.
I’ve been exploring widgets and plugins and functions trying to decide what would work best. It’s been fun and time-consuming. I’m excited about the possibility of starting a monthly newsletter, incorporating a contact page, and connecting to, and learning to use, new social media sites.
I’ve had a few run ins with things not working how they should, but thankfully so far I’ve been able to get the support I’ve needed to get things where they need to be.
My brother is going to be designing a logo and helping me get a good feel for branding, and I’m excited to see what we come up with together.
There always seems to be more to learn, more to set up, more images to find. Even after the opening there will still be so much more to learn. In that way I guess a Blog is kind of like life, in order to thrive it is always growing.
