Most Incredible of Thoughts
A Poem, By Joy Aletheia Stevens
~
There is a thought,
To big to contemplate,
To enormous to be sought,
Too magnanimous to formulate.
~
This thought cannot be grasped,
Most certainly can’t be hidden.
It cannot be asked,
No suitable answer given.
~
Though it most certainly can be touched.
The answer, never kept from you.
Though, never can you understand it much.
It can most certainly overwhelm you!
~
Not completely, is it a thought.
Much more like an essence.
Or, maybe something forethought,
Maybe it is Gods presence!
~
Anyway, it cannot with my mind
Be totally conceived.
The whole of it, I cannot find.
But I can certainly believe!
~
It is the essence of the very earth,
The glory of the sky!
No, beyond that, to what gave it birth,
The God that made you and I!
~
So totally beyond comprehension.
Just simple enough to grasp.
The grace that, if I make confession,
Will forgive if I but ask!
~
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:10
This is what it’s all about. This is the whole point of everything. Gods Grace and Salvation!

Beautiful. I used to write poetry a long, long time ago. It wasn’t very good at all though! lol. And that is a beautiful thought–one that we should all think about more often 🙂 Thanks for sharing on Fellowship Fridays!
